We wanted to provide a further update on the ongoing MineHaus migration.
Downtime began on 24th January at 17:00 UTC, and we appreciate everyone’s continued patience while this work has been carried out.
Progress has been made since our last update:
A new backup related to yesterday’s issue has been successfully downloaded
The backup has been fully verified and confirmed not to be corrupted
To avoid any further issues, restoration is now being completed folder-by-folder rather than as a single archive
This process is currently around 85% complete
Once the remaining data transfer finishes, we’ll need to carry out work on a few additional backend systems. This will require a short period of complete downtime, including the fallback server.
We’ll give advance notice before this final offline window begins.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding, we’re prioritising a stable, clean return rather than rushing and risking problems later. Further updates will follow as we move into the final stages.
Good morning everyone
We wanted to share an update following the extended downtime overnight.
The MineHaus network is still offline while we continue migrating core services and restoring world data to the new infrastructure. Progress has been made, however we encountered an issue during the transfer of one of our larger server backups, which required the data to be re-transferred to ensure nothing was lost or corrupted.
To be clear:
No player data has been lost
One large backup is currently being re-downloaded and verified
️ Once this completes, final restoration and testing can begin
Large transfers like this take time, and we’re prioritising data integrity over rushing the process.
We really appreciate everyone’s patience, especially given how long this has taken, and we’ll continue to post updates here as major milestones are reached. Our next update will be shared once the current transfer completes or if anything changes.
Thank you for bearing with us
The MineHaus Team
We wanted to take a moment to properly explain what’s happening behind the scenes at MineHaus and why the server will be temporarily offline later this month.
As shared on Discord, Stifflered has made the decision to step down as Owner of MineHaus. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has built and the foundations he laid for the community over the years.
MineHaus has now been entrusted to ArZor, who has stepped into the role of Director of MineHaus. This transition has been carefully planned to ensure continuity, stability, and that the server continues to reflect the same family-friendly values and atmosphere that players know and love.
Because this transition involves moving MineHaus onto new infrastructure, some essential behind-the-scenes work is required. This includes:
Migrating systems and services
Ensuring data integrity and security
Improving long-term reliability and stability
Setting MineHaus up properly for its next chapter
To do this safely and correctly, the server needs to be taken offline for a short period.
Scheduled start:
24th January at 17:00 (GMT)
️ Expected duration:
Up to 2 days, though we may be able to reopen sooner.
During this time, the MineHaus network will be inaccessible. We’ll provide progress updates on Discord as work continues and will announce clearly once the server is ready to reopen.
We want to reassure everyone that:
Gameplay is not being redesigned overnight
Rules and expectations remain the same
MineHaus will continue to be family-friendly
Staff structure and community focus are staying consistent
This transition is about infrastructure and long-term stability, not changing what makes MineHaus feel like home.
We’re sharing this information in advance so everyone has time to prepare and understands what’s happening. Thank you for your patience, trust, and continued support while we take this important step forward.
We’re excited for the next chapter of MineHaus and can’t wait to welcome everyone back once the work is complete ️
